Rich Taylor, Esq.

Attorney Taylor graduated cum laude from Vermont Law School in 2004 where he served as an editor with the Vermont Law Review. While a law student, Attorney Taylor worked as a summer associate with Hale and Dorr Legal Services of Harvard Law School and with the Boston office of Mintz, Levin, Cohen, Ferris, Glovsky, Popeo, P.C. Attorney Taylor practiced law with the New Hampshire Public Defender for three years before co-founding Taylor & Yiokarinis.

As a criminal defense attorney, he represents criminal defendants throughout the State of New Hampshire in juvenile, district, and superior courts. Attorney Taylor has defended clients charged with widely ranging offenses from criminal motor vehicle complaints and violations to serious felonies with mandatory minimum prison sentences. In his career, he has vigorously defended clients at district court bench trials, superior court jury trials, and at a full spectrum of contested hearings including probable cause, capped plea, bail, probation violations, motions, and competency. His defense strategy often utilizes legal motions and memoranda to fight for the suppression of evidence obtained in violation of his client’s constitutional rights.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1999. Prior to law school, he worked for various regional theatres in New York and Chicago as an actor, director, and publicist. Attorney Taylor also worked in various executive capacities in the high tech and telecommunication industries. He is admitted to the New Hampshire Bar, the Federal Bar, and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Alex S. Yiokarinis, Esq.

Attorney Yiokarinis graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in Political Science and in the University’s Honor Program in 1999. He earned his law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2002.

His experience in litigation began as an Associate in the law firm of Getman, Stacey, Schulthess and Steere, P.A. in Bedford, New Hampshire. His focus was primarily in the area of civil litigation.

Attorney Yiokarinis joined the New Hampshire Public Defender Program in 2004 where he practiced for three years before co-founding Taylor & Yiokarinis. While a Public Defender, Attorney Yiokarinis represented his clients in all aspects of trial litigation in Rockingham County Superior Court and all of the county district courts from Portsmouth to Salem, New Hampshire. Attorney Yiokarinis has defended hundreds of clients in trials for assault, burglary, DWI, forgery, theft, attempted murder, arson, identity fraud, robbery and other felony and misdemeanor offenses. He has tried a multitude of cases before district court judges and numerous felony and misdemeanor appeal cases before a jury. Attorney Yiokarinis is admitted to the New Hampshire Bar and is also a member of the Federal Bar.
